Maytag dryer making scraping noise.

So my machine started making this noise mid cycle last night. It still agitates and functions fine just noisy. The noise is only heard during agitation, not spin cycle. I removed the agitator and that is functioning properly and it still makes noise of i turn the post sticking out of the drum.To determine if the drum bearing is at fault, remove the dryer belt and try turning the drum by hand.
