I also had racing thoughts, extreme fear and outbursts of anger. I am a lot better now and feeling more clear minded than I ever felt.I weaned off from 600 mg, dropping 200 each month. The jump from 200 mg to 0 mg was the worst decision ever. I had an apathetic depression before being on lamictal. I don't know anything about tapering off this med or getting off of it at all so maybe you're just one step in the process. But it kind of sounds like to me without lamictal the apathetic depression might be your norm. To me it was totally not worth it and I absolutely love this drug.
