My 2017 Premiere (180,000 miles) has a terrible shudder on acceleration but it doesn't do it all of the time. I was driving up to NY from FL and my check engine light came on and it threw 4 codes (P0174, P0171, P0442, P0496) for the purge solenoid valve, so I changed that when I got to NY. It is now giving me p0138 code.If it was power steering, most likely the noise would be more noticeable during a very low speed turn.
